Our Commitment:
We’ve been doing this long enough that there’s no surprises. Every problem has a solution, even when it takes shaking things up and rethinking the challenge. That’s our commitment: Find the right flow and level monitoring solutions for your specific needs. So you’re confident that your operations will consistently run efficiently, safely, and profitably.
Mission Statement:
To Give God ALL the Glory
About:
FLO-CORP has manufactured and designed flow, level and display systems since 1989 with one simple concept in mind; provide a high-quality product that will have unsurpassed value for our customers. FLO-CORP has decades of experience in flow, level, monitors and complete turn key systems. This experience encompasses both the design and manufacturing aspects of instrumentation as well as sales engineering and field support.
History:
FLO-CORP is a private, family-owned company that is committed to providing properly selected and configured flow, level, and monitoring products with a focus on innovation and customer service. In 1989, FLO-CORP was incorporated in the State of Ohio and started as a small distribution company. In the last ten years, FLO-CORP has moved past distribution and into manufacturing our own line of products. Through manufacturing, we have gained more control over origin of product, quality, and lead times. Furthermore, FLO-CORP now has creative control in the development of new products. We can focus on adding the functionality and features that will best serve our customers. FLO-CORP’s management of quality, lead times, and innovation come together allowing us to provide more product value to our customers. We remain committed to personal customer interaction, where help can still be found without hearing an automated phone system. The FLO-CORP family is dedicated to working hard for our customers by using over three decades of combined experience in flow, level, and display.
We officially became FLO-CORP in 1989, starting as a small distribution company. We quickly grew to manufacture our own product lines after seeing how frequently our customers needed more than off-the-shelf solutions. We are committed to being the source for complete, customized systems for your specific setup and needs.
There’s not always a one-size-fits-all and the industries we serve rarely remain stagnant. There’s constantly a need to take on a new challenge or find a better way. And we’re committed to being that go-to source. You can rely on FLO-CORP to bring ideas and innovations that consistently take the accuracy, safety and efficiency of your operations to the next level.
AGRICULTURE: INCREASING EFFICIENCY
PROBLEM: An agriculture and environmental services company was driving over five hours a day to customer sites to check the tank level measurements of flowable sludge material. The customer didn’t know what their tank levels were and the tanks would empty and fill so fast it was easy for overflows to occur.
SOLUTION: We mounted an ultrasonic level transmitter onto the tank to accurately read the level measurement. We wired the level transmitter to our cellular monitor, which took remote readings and transmitted them to our web portal. The customer was then able to remotely monitor the tanks from anywhere in the world at any time – a valuable, time-saving system they cannot live without.
RELIABILITY
PROBLEM: A specialty chemical company had a contract with the Federal Aviation Administration to supply de-icing fluid to the nation’s airports. This highly regulated product had many compliance issues, so the chemical company needed to automate their process and find a dependable, precise system.
SOLUTION: There were multiple fluids and gases used to make de-icing fluid. We fully automated their blending process using advanced level monitoring, flow and controls. Using FLO-CORP’s level transmitters, along with liquid and gas flow meters, we were able to create a high quality system – now implemented at airports nationwide.
SAFETY
PROBLEM: An aerospace manufacturer needed to monitor the level of anodizing acid in 25 tanks, used to condition metal wheels for defense and commercial aviation. It was a challenge because the levels were constantly changing when the wheels were dipped in the solution. It was critical that the tank level did not overflow due to the caustic materials.
SOLUTION: We chose to monitor each tank individually with digital communications systems. We were able to tie in all 25 tanks to a massive remote monitoring system. The new solution notified the aerospace company of level changes and created an alarm historian. The FLO-CORP system was tied into the company’s building automation system, which alerted the fire department and security if needed.
